Advertising information for GameMaster Online


Thanks for your interest in advertising on our site. Before we get into specifics, here's a brief look at who and what we are.

GameMaster OnLine (www.gamemasteronline.com) went up on the Internet in June of 1997 but the "GameMaster" was one of the original owners of Rolling Good Times (rgtonline.com) which began publishing on the Internet in September, 1995 so he has considerable experience at web publishing. This longevity has given our site a lot of credibility in the marketplace which is shown, at least in part, by the fact that over 115 other gambling-related web sites have links to us. Other links are our primary means of attracting new readers; we have a very active program of providing some of our content to other sites at no charge that drives this.

We also get traffic from books like "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Online Gambling" by Mark Balestra, which prominently mentions our site, particularly under "Strategy Sites" as well as quite a few other categories. We are also mentioned as a "major" site in the book, "Beat Webcasinos.com" and listed as a "Top Five Site" in the book, "Gambling on the Internet" by Geoff Mangum. The recently-published "Casino Gambling for Dummies" lists us in the Important Resources section as a website that offers "tons of material with an emphasis on online gambling." In the August/September 2007 issue of All In magazine, we were featured in an article by Kevin Blackwood as a site where "gamblers can get reliable information, particularly on Blackjack and other casino games of skill." The popular book, "Insider's Guide to Internet Gambling" by John G. Brokopp lists us as "An outstanding site for online gamblers..."

The first thing you'll notice about the GameMaster Online is that we have a very clean and readable design. This design drastically limits advertising opportunities, which is intentional. We believe our valued readers should not be bombarded by dozens of flashing casino graphics, pop-ups and pop-behinds. All advertising opportunities are designed to work with surrounding elements and reflect the respect we have for both reader and advertiser alike.

Our primary advertising opportunity is the top rotating banner frame, which appears on all pages of our site. This is a 728 x 90 spot in which we allow no more than 5 advertisers at a time. Each banner is rotated by our ad server every 30 seconds on a random basis.

In 2009, the site averaged over 42,000 user sessions per month (48% of whom are non-US readers) and it's running at a similar rate in 2010. Readers spend an average of 9 minutes here on each visit. If we use the average time spent on the site by a visitor, 9 minutes, then it follows that each reader will see any banner ad at least 3 times (5 banner ads, rotated every 30 seconds). The cost of one of those ads is only $300 per month or $250 per month if 3 or more months are purchased and paid for in advance. We will guarantee a minimum of 40,000 views per month. The prices quoted are "net" and payment in advance is required.

Another popular ad spot is one of the 125 x 125 banners you can see in the right hand side of the front page. These do not rotate and are exclusive to the advertiser in there. They "follow" the reader as she or he moves through the site, so the number of impressions are low (due to the fact that they're not reloading all the time), but they are very effective in generating clickthroughs. The cost for those is $200 per month ($175/month if three months are purchased in advance).

Our biggest, best and most expensive advertising opportunity is the 250 x 250 ads that appear on the "splash" or entry pages of our site. Again, this is not big on generating impressions, but it is our best spot for generating clickthroughs. That rents for $500 per month or $400 per month in a three month campaign that is paid in advance.

We also provide text links at a cost of $25 to $40 per link per month with discounts available for quantity and/or whether or not you desire to be the only link on that page.. These links are usually converted from our existing text, but we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Just so you know, we are not interested in CPA or commission-type advertising; only prepaid ads are available.
